Debating and Public Speaking
The school competes in several state wide public speaking and debating competitions at all year levels within the junior and senior school. Students are encouraged to participate in these competitions - which they do with considerable success.
Musical Groups
Our talented music students perform at public occasions such as school assemblies, speech days, Anzac day, Farewells, Investitures and the like.
National Competitions
Students are encouraged to enter competitions in areas such as English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Science, Languages, and Public Speaking. Each student receives a Certificate of Participation, with excellent performances being awarded distinctions.
School to Work Program
The School to Work Program is run for all students. Students receive training in the skills required for successful transition from school work and are provided with a log book in which vocational learning and enterprise learning activities are catalogued.
Solar Challenge
Students design a solar vehicle which competes against other schools in the district. Our school has enjoyed considerable success, given the short time it has been involved in this event.
Variety Night
Each year the abilities of our students are showcased in an entertaining mix of song and dance performed for the Corowa community. The event is hosted by the student leadership and a very good time is had by all.
Work Experience
All of Year 10 and other students at a variety of stages are given the opportunity to sample the world of work at local and state level. This helps them focus their vocational aims and is a valuable experience. The Careers Adviser organizes this large scale dynamic program.
