Food Technology
Food Technology is offered as an elective at Corowa High School in Years 9 to 12. By learning about food, students become aware of the links between food, technology, nutritional status and the quality of life. Students will develop confidence and proficiency in handling food and making decisions about food. All practical lessons are conducted in a fully equipped kitchen.
Years 9 and 10

- Food for Special Needs
The core units are:
- Food Preparation and Processing
- Nutrition and Consumption
Food Technology Preliminary and HSC - 2 unit
Aims to develop an understanding of food systems and skills that enable students to make informed decisions and carry out responsible actions. Students will also develop an appreciation of the importance of food to the individual and to the social and economic future of Australia.
