The Carpe Diem Wall
The Carpe Diem Wall acknowledges former students of Corowa High who have seized the day through making a positive contribution to their community and achieving to the highest level in their chosen endeavour.
It was established in 2007 and is administered by a committee consisting of the Principal, two staff members, two community members and the Principal's nominee.
Nick Cutmore B.Sc (Hons), PhD., FTSE. - Year 12 in 1972

Nick has worked with CSIRO as a research scientist and research manager since 1983. He heads a world leading team of scientists creating new measurement technologies applied globally to minerals processing and security screening. Nick is a recipient of the Australia Prize.
Maree Webster B.Sc (Hons), PhD. - Year 12 in 1976
Maree leads a team of neuroscientists dedicated to understanding the molecular nature of human brain development and mental illness. She oversees one of the world’s largest postmortem brain repositories for psychiatric disorders. Her work will begin to unlock the secrets of how normal and diseased brains function.
Shane Caughey CSC - Year 12 in 1979

Shane was commissioned as an army officer in 1983. During the course of his career Shane was selected to command the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR) and commanded the Battalion on operations in East Timor. For this service he was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross. He also served as the Chief Operations Officer for the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation (UNSTO) in Jerusalem and as a UN peacekeeper in Iran.
Stephen Mowlam OAM - Year 12 in 1994
Stephen graduated and worked as a structural engineer. He represented Australia in hockey at a number of levels, culminating in Olympic (2004) and Commonwealth (2006) Gold medals. In 2004 he was Australian Hockey League Player of the Year.
So far the Carpe Diem committee has been forwarded a wide variety of ex-students to consider.
